Acts 3:19 Repent therefore, and turn to God so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord,
Learning that we all need saving and learning what it is we need saving from, can either be scary, life-changing or at times, even place a person in denial. For me, it was really scary as a young boy to know that God knew me so well and there was nowhere for me to hide from God cause He’s everywhere.
Acts 3:19 says, “Turn to God so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord” and is what Peter spoke to the people as they gathered. I am reminded that repentance should come from my heart and should be thoughtful, and afterwards comes refreshing of my soul. I pray with God’s help, with earnest repentance that I may receive a time of refreshing that I long for. During this season of Lent, I will carefully consider repentance and earnestly seek forgiveness. I sin daily, yet I am forgiven and a child of God.
I am so thankful for our community at Shepherd of the Valley that continues to remind me that God’s love surrounds me each and every day, Thanks be to God!
