Matthew 10
Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. And even the hairs of your head are all counted. So do not be afraid; you are of more value than many sparrows.
Fear is a Fickle Thing
In preparation of becoming new parents, Josh and I had a lot of fears... Are we going to be good enough parents? Do we have what it takes? Will our child be healthy and happy? Are we financially ready to have a child? Will our brand new marriage last? The fears and questions continued for a long time. And to be quite honest there were times where it grew worse because of our national/global health status of COVID-19. Thankfully, there is a constant in our life that puts those fears at ease and calms our nerves:
Knowing that God is watching over and protecting us. We remind each other that God would not have brought Ollie into our lives if he didn't think we could handle pouring our love and care onto another outside of ourselves and each other. We remind each other that even in the tough times, we did not experience the pain and suffering Jesus went through in order to save us from death. We remind each other that God placed a lot of fortunate events to help us along the way and He will continue to do so.
Fear is a fickle thing you know... it can force us to act in crazy and erratic ways. Don't let the fears take control over you though, especially when God is on your side.
