"Breaking in the boots"

This year I made a decision to be more intentional about getting out and enjoying nature, after all, we do live in a spectacular place to do so! I came to realize that I have never hiked to any of the peaks or summits here in Juneau so I decided that is a pretty good place to start. To do that I bought myself fancy new hiking boots and I need to break them in if I want to hike to the tippy tops of mountains this summer. To break them in right I plan to hit up the trails here at sea level for the next couple months. As the snow/sleet falls outside the window I am really glad they are waterproof! 
Isaiah 55:12
“For you shall go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and the hills before you shall break forth into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands."
